BLENDERS NITROX-TRIMIX
Descriptive Memory EOLO Blender
The EOLO blender is a device which is used to make binary and ternary mixtures (nitrox-trimix-heliair-etc.) for recreational, technical, military and commercial diving with up to 60% oxygen (when possible with the compressor and where permitted by the local laws). It works at low pressure (0,1 – 3 bar) preparing and controlling the mixture required before the air intake of the compressor. It weighs 8.5 Kg and is made up of: a metal box of stainless steel AISI 316 of 400x150x400mm, mixing tube made of non-toxic material, in line analyser, sensors for the detection of gases, electronic processor with concentration alarms, electro-mechanical security system, solenoid valves, micrometric valves to control the gas flow, emergency stop, start-up and shut down key. The frontal part of the blender is made from elements with a protection grade of IP67; although on demand, we can make models with a higher protection factor. The whole electrical part works at 24V and the solenoid valves which regulate the flow of gases, are controlled directly from the compressor so that when this stops, the valves close.
Working principle
The blender is connected normally to the intake of the compressor or compressors with the help of flexible tubes of adequate dimensions according to the needs of the desired flow rate. The air taken in to the compressor is now forced to pass firstly via the blender, where the operator, suitably qualified, will take care of the quantity of oxygen and helium needed. The blender’s screen will continually show information about the resulting mixture before it enter the compressor inlet; the processor will block the solenoid valves if the mixture gets to 5% or 42% oxygen (pre-set numbers which are both adjustable). There is also the possibility that the operator can activate an additional alarm, in case they needed to be absent for a few minutes, which would block the valves if the resulting mixture was more that 1% off (adjustable) the values set during the filling phase. Another safety component acts in the event that an object is obstructing, partially or totally, the air intake, blocking the solenoid valves and possibly also the compressor. On demand, the EOLO blender can be installed in the compressor itself (if there is enough space available). Also, the EOLO blender can be easily integrated into a membrane system and low pressure compressor where the performance of the membrane is insufficient or even when you need to produce trimix and want to make the most of the existing membrane.
